  • Are your back, shoulders, knees and hips feel a little wonky after a very enthusiastic and amazing play scene?

  • Experiencing incontinence and know that you are not ready to rock incontinence pads/undergarments?

Listen here, the relationship you have with your body is a special one. You are with your body 24-hours a day, 7-days a week, 365 days a year. Your movement practice doesn't need more willpower and determination. It needs more love, compassion, and understanding: a container of support with realistic expectations while working in collaboration with your body to meet it where it's at and give it what it needs instead of shoulding on yourself or comparing yourself to others.

I offer that container of support via functional Pilates and therapeutic exercises to help you stand taller, feel less pain and move with more ease. If you suffer from incontinence, this container will help strengthen your pelvic floor so you can live your life without having to identify where the bathroom is ‘just in case" every time you leave the house. If you are living that alt-life, this movement practice will show you how to do all things sexy with confidence regardless if you are giving or receiving. And if I may be so honest, I have dealt with urge incontinence for many years and also live that alt-life, so you are in good company because I'm living, love.

Working with me, you will:

  • Learn how to exercise effectively and understand how your body moves, where it is strongest and needs to be stronger.

  • You’ll be part of a supportive community known as the Strong Squad that consists of like-minded peeps who will cheer you on, celebrate your wins and keep you accountable.

All classes/private sessions are deliberately paced. What the hell does that mean?

 

Deliberate (n.) slow, unhurried, steady, as though allowing time for decision on each individual action involved. 

Like a Sunday drive, Teresa uses imagery, metaphor and puns to challenge you to connect with the juiciness of the work --- including details regarding the form, alignment, and movement of an exercise. She may slow the tempo, or pause the class to explain a concept, and if the synergy is just right, Teresa has been known to speed up the pace for one or two exercises. Although these tactics may produce some serious side-eye in the moment, there are always comments of how good bodies feel afterward. 

There is no quick, fast, in a-hurry way to be present in the body.

Good old-fashioned consistency and a commitment to the process is the way.
